Questions

Does it really work with no internet?
Yes, after the initial download and any speech resources needed for your selected features are ready. The offline translator is a free download of about 2.2 GB. Complete setup while you have a connection and enough available storage. Purchases and restores also require access to the App Store.
Which languages can I use?
Language and device support varies by feature. Camera and speech features do not support every text-translation language, and some typed languages are experimental. Check your language pair and offline readiness in the app before you travel.
Can I turn speech into text?
Yes. With Premium, tap the microphone in Translate and speak in your selected language. Offlinguo transcribes your speech into text for translation. Talk also keeps the transcript alongside each translation. Prepare the speech files for your language before using it offline.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no Offlinguo account to create. Complete offline setup, choose your languages and start translating.
What happens to the text I translate?
Translation runs on your iPhone. There is no Offlinguo account or translation service. Purchases, Restore and downloading model or speech files can still need a connection.
How does the offline assistant work?
Assistant uses the downloaded model on your device to help you understand phrases, explore wording and answer everyday questions. It is included in Premium. It does not browse the web or provide live information. AI responses can contain mistakes.
What is free, and what is Premium?
Typed translation is free after setup, with no subscription needed. Choose Monthly or Yearly Premium for microphone input, Camera and photo translation, Talk and Assistant. Apple shows the current price before purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled and can be managed in your Apple Account settings. Existing Lifetime purchases remain restorable and grant Premium access.
Can translations or AI responses contain mistakes?
Yes. Translations and AI responses can contain mistakes, even when they sound fluent. Verify important information before relying on it. Do not rely on Offlinguo for medical, legal or safety-critical communication.
